Quickie to Shrewsbury

Rode out on quiet roads, done many times previously, but nonetheless still very enjoyable. Slight drizzle which was actually very nice after last weeks' heat wave. Headed to Shrewsbury and although we had vowed not to ride in the town again, submitted and gave it a go and it's still busy and jam packed!!!

One way systems everywhere, traffic lights galore, pedestrians all over the place, road closures and narrowing lanes - most enjoyable!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, stopped in normal place opposite cafe that has now moved and went searching for breaky. Who'd have thought M&S was a destination for a brew and some top trough!!!
And what a very good breakfast it was - Full English (well we were in Shropshire), Mrs C opting for a bacon buttie. Cups of very nice teas all round! Full of either very old people, or tiny squealing babies, so maybe a roadside greasy biker cafe is actually more for us.
There was a convention on with lots of people dressed up in movie clothing and Back to the Future car on display - we like motorbiking, others like dressing up so no judgement from here, although the smell of ganja was very prominent...🎥🎬
Road back, again on roads ridden 100's of time, but it didn't matter - through Ellesmere and straight back for a quick pint at the The Alyn. Some pissed up driver decided to turn into Station Road and go via the central reservation, there was a loud bang outside and we didn't see anything other than a car mounted on top of a bollard, but decided it would be good to get going asap just incase the scuffers shut the road for an hour or so!
Opted for a gorgeous pasta bake, although we were meant to be going for a Thai Beef dish, but completely forgot! Nay-mind, rather delicious chicken and chorizo accompanied by plenty of beer/wine - thank you very much we'll take that agin!!
Think we'll settle in watching a bit of the open golf on the goggly-box 🤪
